If your pool awards points to players for scoring multiple goals in a game, or awards
goalies points for only letting in some number of goals in a game, then this feature is for you.
For example, this feature allows you to award goalies:
2 extra points for allowing 1 goal in the game
1 extra point for allowing 2 goals in the game
Or for example, this feature allows you to award players:
2 extra points for 2 goal games
3 extra points for 3 goal games
6 extra points for 4 goal games
10 extra points for 5 goal games
Some Potential Confusing Point Issues
A couple of things to note before proceeding:
- For goalies, 0GA is different from a Shutout (SO). Here's why: The NHL will only award a Shutout to a goalie
if that goalie plays the ENTIRE game. If they miss even one minute, they do not get the shutout. With 0 GA, a
goalie will get points even if they play just a single minute and don't allow any
goals. We do not recommend you use this stat category because we don't think a goalie who plays just
a few minutes in a game without allowing a goal should get extra points, but it is up to you.
- For players, 3GG is different from a Hattrick (HT) in a very subtle manner. A 3 Goal Game will only be
awarded if the player gets EXACTLY 3 goals. The Hattrick (HT) stat will get a point if the player gets 3
OR MORE goals. It is a very subtle difference, but we offer a variety of methods to set up your stats and you
can choose the one that works best for your pool.
- Players will get a point in both the Hattrick and 3 Goal Game stat category if they score 3 goals, so if you
have your pool set to award points for both of those stat categories (i.e. 2pts for a HT and 3pts for a 3GG), they
will get both point awards (i.e. they will get 5 points for the hattrick - 2 from the HT and 3 from the 3GG - plus any
other points that you have awarded for goals).
- Goalies will get a stat in both the Shutout and the 0 Goals Against stat category if they play a full game and do not
allow any goals.
- Goalies will not be awarded a Shutout if they don't play the entire game. This is the NHL's rule. However, since 0GA is
a stat category that we create and track, the goalie IS awarded a 0GA point if they play in a game (even for just 1 minute)
and they do not allow a goal.
How To Use:

a link labeled 'Set Goals Per Game Scoring'. Click on this link and set your player scoring as

new stats category and points added to your players. If you have been awarding bonus points for this
stat category already, please check that the point totals are what you expect. Use the Contact Us link to
