Team Points

If your hockey pool selects a city's hockey team for points in addition to selecting players, then this feature is for you. This feature is also useful if your pool gives points for W,L,T,RT, etc regardless of which goalie plays for a given team (ie. you draft a goaltending team).

This feature does not require you to re-enter the teams in your pool. If you specified 12 players are drafted, then the total number of players drafted remains 12, the NHL Team is an additional field and does not need to be accounted for in the number of players drafted.

An NHL Team can score points on the following stats categories:

• Win
• Loss
• Regulation Tie (Overtime loss)
• Goals For
• Goals Against
• Penalty Kills
• Power Play Goals
• Short Handed Goals
• Shut Outs
• Goalies Goals (all goals by all goalies on a team)
• Goalies Assists (all assists by all goalies on team)
• 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6+ Goals For Games
• 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6+ Goals Against Games
• Win Round 1, Round 2, Conf. Finals and Cup Points
• Lose Round 1, Round 2, Conf. Finals and Cup Points

To select a team as well as players, perform the following steps:

1) Log in with the pool administrator's password to the Administration Page. Go to the "Initialize & Edit Pool" link.

2) Select the "Pick A Team" option button, and press "Update" at the bottom of the table.

3) If your pool selects 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 teams, at this point a second checkbox will appear in the lower right hand side of the table. The new checkboxes allow you to select drafting additional teams. If you draft more than one team, select the appropriate options and press Update again.

4) Edit each owner's team in turn, assigning them the team(s) that they have choosen.

5) Return to the Admin page and go to "Customize Point Scoring" and set the Team points according to the desired scoring for your pool.

6) Once done, select "Save Custom Points".

7) You can immedidately view the new points on the Daily Stats Page. The points have been retroactively added to your total points on a day by day basis back to the begining of the season.
