Pool Types & Features
Regular Drafts
Similar to the entry drafts, each of your Poolies takes turns drafting a player, and that player appears only on that one team. TheHockeyPool supports both Snake drafts where the order your Poolies draft switches each round, and Ladder drafts (like the NHL entry draft) where the order of drafting remains the same each round.

Box Drafts
For pools where it is hard to get everyone together to do an "Entry Draft" style pool, the Box Draft allows your Poolies to select from a pre-set list of players, selecting a set number from each box. They can make the selections at any time (until you lock the selections).

Do you keep players from season-to-season? No problem, player selections can be transfered from year-to-year.

Rotisserie
In Rotisserie pools, each team is ranked on a number of statistics categories based on how they compare with other teams. Then, their placement in those rankings are summed to determine each Poolies' current score. Which stats categories are ranked is fully customizable.

Top Scorers/Drop Lowest
We support pools where only your top point-getting players contribute to the scoring. These pools may have you draft 10 players but only the top 8 scorers count. Or you draft 10 forwards, 5 defencement and 2 goalies, but only the top 6 forwards, top 3 defencemen and the best goalie count.
